You can't have two of the same spirit unless the distance between those two spirits is big enough. Which wouldn't matter anyway....they'd be too far apart to both effect the same enemy at the same time.
Because spirits as vampirism and bloodsong live quite long they will just hang around till they are at their time limit.

EDIT: Some Spirit Strength's builds should be fun to play with and Minion Bombing is nice as a primary Ritualist as well. But besides that? No real advantages.......except for appearance and style of course

Advantage of Rits?
Pious Haste, can run runes to make big numbers bigger, look stupid running a flag, fast casting heals using said runes.

I only have a major channeling rune + a channeling headgear, and nightmare weapon is good for 3 attacks healing 50 each. A triple shot build would heal 50 per enemy hit, yet only count as 1 attack; thus netting 150 per attack for 3 attacks. Barrage would be even better w/ 50 hp for up to 6 enemies, thus netting 900 hp per use!

I was using ancestor's rage initially, but found it cumbersome. Now I use a build like this:

Channeling 15
Spawning Power 13
Restoration: 3

[skill]bloodsong[/skill][skill]vampirism[/skill][skill]spirit rift[/skill][skill]agony[/skill][skill]soul twisting[/skill][skill]nightmare weapon[/skill][skill]spirit boon strike[/skill][skill]flesh of my flesh[/skill]
There's bad builds, and there's downright misleading crap. Almost everything you have posted is completely wrong.

1) You can only have one type of each spirit. This was changed during the beta for factions, since people used glyph of renewal and the pain spirit ashpot to summon huge armies of spirits that instagibbed anything. You may have 2 of the same spirit if they are out of range of each other, but that's a different beast.

2) Triple shot is 3 attacks. It burns through all your nightmare weapon attacks, as does barrage or any other multi-attack skill.

For everyone else, it's really not that great a combo. 15 energy for 150 points of life stealing every 10 seconds with 4.5 second use time isn't that great. It does, however, look cool.

3) Ancestor's rage is the second strongest skill in the entire rit skilltree, second only to splinter weapon.

You can have more than one copy of a given spirit up at once, as long as each spirit is at least 2500 inches (half a radar) away from every other one.

Pfff all you arguing about skills are missing the point. PvE is always easy no matter what primary you are, go with what you think looks the best while you play. In that area, ritualists are very impressive.
